This will be a long-awaited album as fans have not seen a new album since 5: The Gray Chapter released in late 2014.
Corey Taylor, Slipknot’s frontman shared some thoughts on this album: “It’s kind of a cross between that and the first album. I keep telling people that this is what the kids from Iowa would have made if they’d matured,” with a special nod to the first founders of the band.
“It’s going to be one of the darkest chapters in Slipknot’s history,” Corey confides. “It’s dark, heavy, melodic, fierce and it’s real.”
More very intriguing revelations came when Taylor added that “It’s raw as hell and it’s going to address a lot of things that people are going to need in their life right now”.
