Apr 22, 2019

Slipknot, the American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa has announced the Knotfest Roadshow Tour this Summer. The band formed in 1995 and has seen a lot of members and talent come through. The band now consists of Corey Taylor, Shawn Crahan, Jim Root, Sid Wilson, Mick Thomson, Craig Jones, Chris Fehn, Jay Weinberg, and Alessandro Venturella. Their debut studio album by the name of Slipknot was launched in 1999. They have experimented with different types of metal. Slipknot has a solid following: they have sold more than 20-million albums worldwide and were nominated for 10 Grammy awards.

Slipknot tickets are not to be missed. They are notorious for their wild and unruly live shows. Slipknot tickets 2019 have been long awaited. Since 2012 they have launched their own festival titled the Knotfest and has been featured there with their guests annually.
The Slipknot tour will be a 29 city Roadshow that will start at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California on July 26th and wrap up at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at the Woodlands, Texas on September 8th. For the first time ever, Slipknot concert tickets will include Canada with a performance in Toronto at the Budweiser stage on August 20th.

Headliners Slipknot has chosen the tagline “A Mind-Altering Collision of Music, Art & Culture”, for this Knotfest Roadshow tour. The Rock band Volbeat from Denmark, Gojira from France and death metal band Behemoth from Poland will join as special guests on all dates except for the Des Moines, Iowa date that will be supported solely by Gojira.

Besides this tour, Slipknot has announced that they will release their new album this August. One song from this album was shared during their Halloween surprise last year, the single “All Out Life”. This will be a long-awaited album as fans have not seen a new album since 5: The Gray Chapter released in late 2014.
Corey Taylor, Slipknot’s frontman shared some thoughts on this album: “It’s kind of a cross between that and the first album. I keep telling people that this is what the kids from Iowa would have made if they’d matured,” with a special nod to the first founders of the band.
“It’s going to be one of the darkest chapters in Slipknot’s history,” Corey confides. “It’s dark, heavy, melodic, fierce and it’s real.”

More very intriguing revelations came when Taylor added that “It’s raw as hell and it’s going to address a lot of things that people are going to need in their life right now”.
