Korn & Breaking Benjamin announced a Co-Headlining Tour in 2020
Korn and Breaking Benjamin are bringing us back in time by teaming up again for a 2020 co-headlining North American tour. The last time was in 2016 and they left fans wanting more. They will be co-rocking with the support of Bones U.K.
Korn, the American nu metal band first formed in 1993, hit success with Follow the Leader in 1998. The band is recognized for bringing the nu metal genre into the mainstream. Korn's current lineup includes the founding members James "Munky" Shaffer on rhythm guitar, Brian "Head" Welch on lead guitar, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu on bass, and backup vocals and Jonathan Davis on lead vocals and yes, bagpipes. There is also a welcome addition of Ray Luzier on drums since 2007.
Korn has sold more than 35 million copies worldwide and have had many platinum, double platinum, triple platinum, five times platinum and Gold recognition awards. Out of their forty-one singles, the outstanding number of twenty-eight have charted. Korn has also been recognized with two Grammy Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards.
The Korn Concert will be in support of their newly released studio album, strongly titled, The Nothing.
Breaking Benjamin was formed in 1999 by lead singer and guitarist Benjamin Burnley and Jeremy Hummel on drums. Despite a tumultuous story of lineup changes, the band has maintained their distinctive style of hard rock style music and raw lyrics. No doubt this is thanks to Burnley maintaining his spot as the primary composer and lead vocalist.
The Breaking Benjamin concert will be touring in support of their new record, Aurora, which is a new play on the band's classic tracks and includes many guest artists. As said by Benjamin Burnley of Breaking Benjamin: “This album is a celebration of our incredible fans”. He adds, “for those who have been there since hearing So Cold for the first time in 2004, and the new ones who have joined us on this amazing journey along the way.”
Breaking Benjamin live puts on an intense show and they cannot wait to start this one. Breaking Benjamin will also include songs in their setlist from their whole catalogue including 2018's Ember. From Burnley: “We've always shared a unique emotional connection to our music with our fans, and this album attributes to those dark times and euphoric ones.”
Bones UK will be supporting their debut release. The rock band from Camden Town, London, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Rosie Bones, Carmen Vandenberg on lead guitar and Heavy on drums is making huge headway in the music industry. The inception of this band came about in 2014 when meeting in a blues kitchen of their hometown.
They caught the attention of musician Jeff Beck who brought them on tour with him. Although they have put out many singles independently, they will now be touring in support of their official debut album released on July 12, 2019. They confront many intense themes such as the beauty industry complex, overbearing masculinity and sexism in the music industry. The cover features the cover of David Bowie's "I'm Afraid of Americans" requested by Howard Stern who suggested they record the song for a Bowie tribute album.
The Korn tour dates 2020 will launch on Jan. 28th, 2020 at the Bell Center in Montreal and will wrap up on March 1st in Fresno, California. Korn concerts will be making 24 stops around the United States and Canada. Book this incredible trio for a memorable moment in the history of metal rock.
